Saxon Hill School

This policy outlines the procedure for registration as indicated by the Saxon Hill School, Inc. (SHSI) by-laws, Article III, Section 2. It is the policy of SHSI not to discriminate in its acceptance of enrollees as required and provided for in federal and state law (SHSI by-laws, Article III, Section 9).

Enrollment prioritization is as follows. Enrollment in classes, which have more applicants than spaces, will be determined by a lottery at each priority level.

  1. Students who are children of SHSI staff.
  2. Currently enrolled students repeating the same class.
  3. Currently enrolled students moving up one class level.
  4. Currently enrolled students moving up two class levels.
  5. Students with currently enrolled siblings or sibling alumni.
  6. Students who are new to the school with no staff, sibling, or alumni relationship.

Registration is conducted over a three-week period in January. Registration fees are non-refundable once enrolled in the class. The wait list will be started when the program is full. A family must contact the registrar when the class is full and ask to be put on the wait list.

Scholarship funds are designated in the schools annual budget as always, it is the intent of SHSI to put the needs of the child first. The board will endeavor to make policy decisions in scholarship cases accordingly.
